The vindication of rights of the guild associations’ members, including the translators, requires the institutionalization of legal awareness, legislation and binding regulations at different levels. Duties of Legal Commission of Translator’s and Interpreters’ Association of Tehran are as follows:
Compiling of standard contracts in order to organize the translators cooperation with the employers;
Informing the translators about existing laws and regulations;
Legislating at different levels in order to improve the translation guilds;
Providing legal advice to translators, etc.
