Nowadays, the importance of training to improve the performance of professions is obvious to everyone. Translation industry pathology in Iran indicates that the training provided at the universities are not sufficient for translator training; therefore, the graduates in translation require additional training to achieve necessary standards for professional activities as translators.

Welfares

Activists and professionals of every association in the world are entitled to enjoy maximum welfare services to improve their living conditions and motivation; unfortunately, the oppressed community of translation was deprived of this right, due to the lack of guild system to date.

Legal Services

The vindication of rights of the guild associations’ members, including the translators, requires the institutionalization of legal awareness, legislation and binding regulations at different levels. Duties of Legal Commission of Translator’s and Interpreters’ Association of Tehran are as follows:
-    Compiling of standard contracts in order to organize the translators cooperation with the employers;
-    Informing the translators about existing laws and regulations;
-    Legislating at different levels in order to improve the translation guilds;
-    Providing legal advice to translators, etc.
